EXTREMAL TRANSFER FUNCTIONS IN ROBUST CONTROL SYSTEM DESIGN

The paper addresses the design of a robust output feedback controller for SISO systems using extremal transfer functions
and the classical control theory approach. It focuses on robust stabilization of uncertain plants which belong to linear
or multilinear uncertain systems. A survey on extremal transfer functions is given and it is shown that for the proposed
robust controller design procedure the classical linear control theory can be applied providing necessary and sufficient
or sufficient stability conditions.
