UNBOUNDED MAGNETIC FIELD OF A COIL WITH A LAMINATED IRON CORE

The paper deals with the evaluation of the applicability of two
professional program packages OPERA 2D and OPERA 3D (Vector Fields,
GB) for the solution of spatially unbounded magnetic fields. The
tests have been carried out on an arrangement consisting of a~cylindrical
coil with a laminated iron core. The field quantities and other related
values were measured by specially wound precise 2D probes at a~lot of
points in a~larger region. Selected results of computations and
measurements are compared in several graphs.
