AC BRIDGE WITH CONVERGENCE ANGLE CLOSE TO 90 DEGREES
Július Bajcsy - Vít Setnička
Alternate current (AC) four arm bridges are equivalent to some
form of voltage comparison methods. In a classical AC bridge,
the voltage ratio on reference and tested impedances is measured
by changing the values of an impedance divider composed of two
known impedances. The procedure of bridge balancing as well as
the convergence angle are important criteria for suitability of
the bridge arrangement. This article presents a modification of
a four arm bridge with 90° convergence angle design for
measuring real as well as imaginary parts of impedance.
