MATLAB BASED SIMULATION OF INTELLIGENT CONTROL SYSTEMS

Intelligent control is a most promising research area in
modern system theory and design which offers large capabilities
concerning complex system modelling, prediction, control, and
performance. Fuzzy logic as a part of intelligent control provides a
powerful tool to capture the uncertainties associated with human
cognitive processes. Neural networks, on the other hand, offer great
advantages in learning, adaptation, fault tolerance, parallelism and
generalization. In the recent years great efforts have been made
toward integrating these two techniques into control systems and many
applications have already been reported. In this work some
investigations are presented in applications of intelligent control
systems. Several simulation examples are developed in Matlab
environment for teaching process. Description and structure of fuzzy
logic controllers and fuzzy control systems are given together with
architecture of neural networks and applications of neural networks as
a fuzzy - neural controller; a learning algorithm has been described
as well.
