UTILIZATION OF THE IMPULSE DETECTORS IN GRAYSCALE IMAGE FILTERING

   The main drawback of the most nowadays impulse filters is the blurring effect. Usually filters process each pixels of the image. Thus, they remove the fine image details and blur the image edges. On that account, there was developed a new class of filters based on impulse detection and removing. In this paper a comprehensive review is given of the impulse detectors and their evaluation.
