CLASSICAL APPROACHES TO THE EVALUATION OF MEASUREMENT RESULTS
Július Bajcsy
This paper presents the classical approaches to the treatment of
measurement results, starting from the definition of the
measurement error as a difference between the measured value and
the true value. It should be a starting point to a fundamental
review of modern ways of measurement result evaluation that is
based on measurement uncertainty. This new approach is
unconditionally required from accredited laboratories.
