RESONANT CONVERTER FOR ARC WELDING USING MICROCOMPUTER CONTROL
Jaroslav Dudrík - Peter Dzurko - Peter Višnyi
The paper presents a DC-DC converter with a series-parallel resonant
full-bridge inverter used for arc welding. The soft switching of all
power switches is achieved by using the nondissipative snubbers. The
practical implementation of a microcomputer to control the output
parameters is described. Steady-state and dynamical behaviour of the
converter is investigated. Considerations for practical design based
on a laboratory model of the converter are discussed.
