THE CONTRIBUTION TO IMAGING IN MACHINE VISION SYSTEMS FOR HIGH SPEED SURFACE INSPECTION

   The basic conception of a machine vision systems is described in this contribution. Some benefits of progressive scan cameras for high speed surface inspection are presented. Key calculations for choosing the area scan cameras are defined here. An example of their application for the steel strip inspection is introduced.
