DYNAMIC PIPELINE ARCHITECTURE OF DATA FLOW SYSTEM

Milan Jelšina - Marek Legnavský

The contribution deals with parallel computer architecture of the MIMD paradigm being developed on the Department of Computers and Informatics [2], [3]. The main objective of proposed architecture is, by use of the data flow principles to design a computer systems for high-performance implementation of the functional languages at programming parallel real-time problems. The parallel processing is executed by a dynamic pipelined model of coordinating processors, which represents main components of the data flow system. The concepts of dynamic pipelining implementation and the architecture layout are presented in the paper. It is supposed that the hardware implementation of the architecture can be used as a specialized accelerator in problem-oriented computer systems with high requirements on operation speed.

Keywords: parallel computer architecture, data flow, pipelining, parallel processing
