ALGORITHM FOR IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCE OF ADAPTIVE SYSTEMS BASED ON THE LMS

   An algorithm is proposed that increases the velocity of convergence of those derived from the LMS (Least Mean Square), by inserting a searching algorithm between every iteration. This technique can be easily adapted to most current real-time systems, often based on LMS algorithms. The performance of the procedure is verified through simulations.
