Magnetic properties of GdxSm1-xMnSi single crystals with tetragonal CeFeSi structure have been studied by magnetization measurements at high magnetic fields. For GdMnSi the field induced metamagnetic transition is observed at 85 kOe. The value of magnetic moment at magnetic fields H > 20 T is equal to 8.8 μB what indicates the reorientation of manganese sublattice and the appearance of ferromagnetic component of manganese moment. For GdxSm1-xMnSi compounds (x = 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7) the increase in Sm content leads to the decrease in magnetic moments and the magnetic ordering temperatures. The values of the saturation magnetic moments of these compounds are close to the values of corresponding R3+ ion. No metamagnetic transitions have been observed at high magnetic fields.
