APPLICATION OF WAVELET TRANSFORMATION IN DEFECTOSCOPY OF POWER STEAM GENERATOR

Eddy current method enables a non-destructive testing of electrically conductive material. An important problem at the evaluation of measurement records is the localization of important changes of signal corresponding to the defects or to the constructive elements of measured object (power steam generator). Localization algorithms must be fast because it is usually necessary to process large amount of data. The paper concentrates on the demonstration of version of already published localization algorithm based on wavelet analysis of signal. The influence of the filtration on the successfulness of localization algorithm based on the wavelet transform is presented as well.
