DIAGNOSIS OF A FAULT TOLERANT COMPOUND SYSTEM USING AN OBSERVER
Liberios Vokorokos
This paper deals with an advanced method
to diagnose a fault, presents a new method to estimate
the fault location and the fault intensity. Based on an
integrator model of the time behaviour of the fault, the
given system is extended and a linear elementary state
observer is designed which estimates the non-linear
effects caused by the fault. The observer uses
measurements of poll displacement. This paper
presents a method based on the observer, how to
estimate the non-linear effects, localisation of the fault,
its intensity and to assess the harmonic force at a
certain place on the control system. The intensity of the
fault means also the prediction of the lifetime of the
considered system.
