CHAOS IN PHOTOSYNTHESIS STOCHASTIC OR DETERMINISTIC?

Peter Bokes - Július Krempaský

The paper deals with methods used for the analysis of different complex time series, mainly from the view of nonlinear dynamics. This analysis gives the possibility to distinguish between different kinds of "randomness" in measured data. It is know that the data can be really stochastic, ie they can be sufficiently well described by stochastic models or they can be generated by a low-dimensional chaotic nonlinear system. In this case it is the known deterministic chaos. The main goal of this paper is to analyse time series generated by photosynthesis from this point of view.

Keywords: oscillaton, chaos, correlation dimension, photosynthesis
