A ROBUST NON-LINAR CONTROL DESIGN PROCEDURE APPLIED TO A TURBOGENERATOR

Vojtech Veselý - Ján Šimovec - Demetrios P. Papadopoulos - Anastasios K. Boglou

This paper presents a new approach to the non-linear control design of a turbogenerator system, in order to guarantee the prescribed decay rate of exponential stability. The mathematical model of the turbogenerator is described as a non-linear system with deterministic uncertainties. As an example of application the proposed new approach is applied to the non-linear steam valving control, without employing matching conditions. The stability of the turbogenerator with non-linear governor control is shown in the results of the simulation of the single-machine infinite-bus power system.

Keywords: robust control, non-linear systems, exponential stability
