A PROPERTY OF THE EXPONENTIAL DISTRIBUTION

   The partial summation P_x = cΣ^∞_{j = x+1}P^*_x, x = 0,1,2, ... was introduced in and generalized elsewhere. Its analogy for continuous distributions is presented. The exponential distribution is invariant with respect to the considered integral transformation. The relations between the characteristic functions and moments of the generating and generated distributions are derived.
