FRACTIONAL - ORDER FEEDBACK CONTROL OF A DC MOTOR

This paper deals with the feedback control of a DC motor speed with using the fractional-order
controller. The permanent-magnet DC motor is often used in mechatronic and other fields of control
theory and therefore its control is very important. The mathematical description of the fractional -
order controller and its implementation in the analogue and the discrete domains is presented. An
example of simulation and possible realization of the particular case of digital fractional-order
PIλDδ controller are shown as well. The hardware realization is
proposed in digital form with the microprocessor and in analogue form with the fractance circuits.
