EFFECT OF DIRECTIONAL PROPERTIES OF LOOP ANTENNA ON METROLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS IN EMC MEASUREMENT

The aim of this paper is to point out the directivity errors of loop antennas used in EMC – electrically screened loops. The analysis is performed using numerical simulations, so the suitable model is created to replace the real antenna behavior. The analysis is fo-cused on the effect of antenna stand and the ground plane on the directional properties of the loop antenna in consideration of the measuring distance and the tested equipment dimensions.
