LINK ELEMENT WITH VARYING ELECTRIC CONDUCTANCE
Justín Murín - Michal Masný - Vladimír Kutiš
The aim of this article is to derive an electrical two nodal link element with a continuously varying cross-section and electrical conductivity along its
longitudinal axis. The element matrix and load vector contain transfer constants, which depend on the variation of the above-mentioned parameters.
These transfer constants can be determined by a simple numerical algorithm. The accuracy and efficiency of the new finite element is verified on 1D steady state
analysis of electrical current conduction problems.
Keywords: finite element method, varying electric conductance, functionally graded materials
